This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) explains how Mino Platform LLC (“Mino”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with our digital marketplace, including this website and any related mobile applications (collectively, the “Site”).

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, you should immediately discontinue use of the Site.

E. Use of Analytics and Tracking Tools

We use Google Analytics, PostHog, Mixpanel, Meta Pixel, and Pinterest Pixel to help us understand user engagement and improve our marketplace experience. These tools may collect information such as:

I. Children’s Privacy

Our Site is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided information, we will promptly delete it.

J. International Data Transfers

J. Your U.S. State Privacy Rights

Certain U.S. state privacy laws grant residents additional rights regarding our processing of their personal information.

  1. California. California residents have the rights described in Section K (Your California Privacy Rights) below.

  2. Other States. Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia may have the right to:

    • Confirm whether we process their personal information;

    • Access and delete certain personal information;

    • Correct inaccuracies in personal information, considering the nature of the data and the purpose of processing (excluding Iowa and Utah);

    • Obtain data portability;

    • Opt out of processing for (i) targeted advertising (excluding Iowa), (ii) sales, or (iii) profiling in furtherance of decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects (excluding Iowa and Utah);

    • Either limit (opt out of) or require consent to process sensitive personal data.

    “Sensitive” personal information definitions vary by state but generally include data revealing racial or ethnic origin, national origin, religious beliefs, mental or physical condition or diagnosis, sexual orientation, transgender or nonbinary status, victim of crime status, citizenship or immigration status, precise geolocation, and genetic or biometric identifiers. We do not collect sensitive personal information without your consent.

Residents of the states listed above (including California) may appeal a decision we make regarding any request to exercise these rights.

K. Your California Privacy Rights

This California Notice supplements this Policy for California residents and is provided to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, the “CCPA”).

Overview of CCPA Rights

California consumers have the right to:

  • Know the categories of personal information we collect, the categories of sources, our business/commercial purposes, and the categories of third parties with whom we share personal information;

  • Know whether we sold or disclosed personal information for a business purpose (including separate lists for each);

    1. Sales: the categories of personal information “sold” (if any) and to whom;

    2. Disclosures: the categories disclosed for a business purpose and to whom;

  • Access specific pieces of personal information (data portability);

  • Correct personal information;

  • Delete personal information;

  • Opt out of “sale” or “sharing” (cross-context behavioral advertising);

  • Be free from discrimination for exercising CCPA rights.

Information We Collect

We collect information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked with a particular consumer, household, or device (“personal information”). Personal information does not include:

  • Publicly available information;

  • De-identified or aggregated information;

  • Information outside the CCPA’s scope (e.g., HIPAA/CMIA data, FCRA, GLBA/FIPA, DPPA).

Categories collected in the last 12 months:

  1. Identifiers — e.g., name, alias, postal address, unique identifier, online identifier, IP address, email, account name, and similar identifiers.

  2. Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.80(e) data — e.g., name, signature, address, telephone number, driver’s license/state ID, passport number, bank/credit/debit card numbers or other financial information (some may be “sensitive” under CCPA).

  3. Commercial information — e.g., products or services purchased, obtained, considered, or other purchase histories/tendencies.

  4. Internet or similar network activity — e.g., browsing/search history, interactions with our website/app/ads and related social media integrations.

  5. Geolocation data — data about physical location or movements (note: precise geolocation may be “sensitive”).

  6. Inferences — drawn from other personal information to create a profile reflecting preferences, characteristics, psychological trends, predispositions, behavior, attitudes, intelligence, abilities, or aptitudes.

Sources of Personal Information

  • Directly from you (forms, purchases, communications, customer support).

  • Indirectly from you (Site interactions, telemetry, if enabled).

  • From others (e.g., payment processors and other service providers; our affiliates).

  • Public sources (e.g., public records).

Uses of Personal Information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide and personalize the Site, products, and services; perform customer service, order fulfillment, payment processing, financing, advertising, marketing, and analytics;

  • Advance our commercial interests, enable or effect transactions, and improve quality/safety standards;

  • Create, maintain, and secure accounts; process requests, purchases, returns; prevent fraud; support and respond to inquiries;

  • Deliver content and offerings relevant to your interests (including targeted offers/ads, where permitted);

  • Maintain security and integrity; conduct testing, research, and analysis; comply with law and respond to legal requests;

  • Send information relevant to past purchases/interests, consistent with applicable direct-marketing laws;

  • Perform services for or on behalf of a CCPA-covered business; review/audit interactions; detect/prevent security incidents or illegal activity; and

  • Evaluate or conduct mergers, divestitures, reorganizations, or other transfers.

We will not use additional categories or use collected data for materially different, unrelated, or incompatible purposes without notice.

Sharing Personal Information

We disclose personal information to service providers, affiliates, and recipients of cookie/pixel data for business purposes under contracts requiring confidentiality and restricted use.

Sales and “Sharing” of Personal Information

  • We do not “sell” personal information for monetary consideration.

  • We may “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising via online analytics and advertising partners (e.g., Google Analytics, PostHog, Mixpanel, Meta Pixel, Pinterest Pixel). California residents may opt out of “sale”/“sharing” by exercising rights below.

Exercising Your CCPA Rights and Choices

Access & Portability

Upon a verifiable consumer request, we will disclose:

  • Categories of personal information collected; sources; business/commercial purposes; categories of third parties; specific pieces of personal information; and, if applicable, categories disclosed for a business purpose. (B2B personal information may be excluded as permitted by the CCPA.)

Deletion & Correction

You may request deletion of personal information we collected from you, subject to exceptions (e.g., to complete transactions, detect security incidents/fraud, debug, comply with law, internal uses aligned with expectations, etc.).
You may also request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you; we will use commercially reasonable efforts to do so.

Submitting Requests

Submit access, portability, deletion, and correction requests using the methods in Section O (Contact Information). Only you or an authorized agent may submit a request (including on behalf of your minor child). We may require sufficient information to verify identity/authority, which can include your name, address, and other data depending on request type and sensitivity. You may submit up to two access/portability requests in any 12-month period. We will use any information provided solely to verify and process the request.

Response Timing and Format

We endeavor to respond within 45 days. If additional time is needed, we will notify you in writing. We will deliver responses electronically or by mail (or via online account, if available). If we cannot comply, we will explain why. For portability, we will provide information in a readily usable format. We do not charge fees unless requests are excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded; if so, we will provide a cost estimate in advance.

Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising CCPA rights. We may offer financial incentives permitted by law that relate to the value of your data; participation requires prior opt-in consent and is revocable at any time.

Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes described, including to meet legal, accounting, and reporting obligations. We consider the nature/sensitivity of data, potential risks, purposes of processing, and applicable requirements in determining retention.

Other California Disclosures

  • Direct Marketing (Shine the Light). California residents may request, once per year and free of charge, information about disclosures for third-party direct marketing in the prior calendar year.

  • Do Not Track. Our Site is not configured to respond to browser Do-Not-Track signals. See www.allaboutdnt.org for more information.

  • Under-18 Content Removal. California residents under 18 may request removal of content they posted on the Site; complete removal from all systems may not be possible.

L. Your UK and EU Privacy Rights

Residents of the European Union and the United Kingdom (together, “GDPR” jurisdictions) have additional rights.

Legal Bases for Processing

Depending on the activity, we rely on:

  • Legitimate interests (e.g., operating, securing, and improving our marketplace, provided your interests/rights do not override ours);

  • Consent (where required; you may withdraw consent at any time);

  • Contractual necessity (to perform a contract with you);

  • Legal obligations (to comply with applicable law).

Disclosures to Third Parties

We disclose personal data as necessary to perform our obligations to you, as permitted or required by law, consistent with this Policy (including to law enforcement/regulators upon lawful request), and in connection with corporate transactions. We do not sell, resell, or lease personal data, but we may share it with partners/service providers to deliver services to us or to you as described in this Policy.

Security (EU/UK)

We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. However, transmission over the Internet is not entirely secure; any transmission is at your own risk.

Retention (EU/UK)

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes collected and meet legal/professional requirements, considering the scope, nature, sensitivity, risk of harm, processing purposes, and alternatives.

International Transfers

See Section N for information on international transfers and use of third parties. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses).

Your GDPR Rights

  • Access to your personal data;

  • Rectification of inaccurate data;

  • Erasure in certain circumstances;

  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;

  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests (we will cease unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds);

  • Restrict processing in certain circumstances;

  • Data portability in certain circumstances;

  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

M. Your Canadian Privacy Rights

This Canada Addendum applies to individuals located in Canada and supplements this Policy to comply with PIPEDA and applicable provincial privacy laws (e.g., Alberta PIPA, BC PIPA, Quebec private-sector law).

By using the Site, you consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of personal information as described in this Policy, unless another lawful basis applies.

Your Choices

You may unsubscribe from marketing at any time via the link in our emails or by contacting us at help@madebyrug.com. You also have choices regarding cookies and similar technologies; see our Cookie Policy. You may withdraw consent to our collection, use, or disclosure of personal information by contacting us (Section O). Withdrawal may affect our ability to provide certain services.

International Transfers

Access, Correction, and Challenging Compliance

N. International Data Transfers and Use of Third Parties

Your personal information may be transferred to, accessed from, or stored in the United Kingdom and the United States (among other jurisdictions). When processed in the UK, your data is protected under UK data protection law (recognized by the EU as providing adequate protection). When processed in the U.S., your data is subject to U.S. federal and state laws and may be accessible by law enforcement pursuant to lawful process.

As described in this Policy, we may engage third-party service providers for certain processing activities (including analytics, advertising, payments, hosting, and security). Where we use third parties and/or transfer personal information internationally, we use contractual and other safeguards intended to protect your personal information in accordance with applicable law.
